Virginia M. "Ginny" (Quarantiello) Digiulio, age 89, died on Saturday, February 16, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her family by her bedside. She was the wife of the late Vincent DiGiulio.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Biagio and Cira (Riviezzo) Quarantiello. Ginny was a devoted wife and mother, she worked as a typist at Jordan Marsh as a young girl and raised her family in Saugus. Her joy in life was to be around her family cooking and listening to there achievements.
Ginny is survived by her three children; Anthony DiGiulio and his wife Debbie of Salem, James and his wife Joelle DiGiulio of Peabody and Paula Barrett and her husband Robert of North Andover, 7 grandchildren; Brianne Johanson, Keri Arsenault, Zachary DiGiulio, Gianna DiGiulio, James DiGiulio, Kathryn DiGiulio and Jennifer DiGiulio and 1 great grandson; Crew Johanson. She is the sister of Eugene Quarantiello of CA and Frank Quarantiello of East Boston. Ginny was predeceased by 5 brothers and 1 sister.
In lieu of flowers donations in Mrs. DiGiulio name may be made to Kaplan Family Hospice House, 78 Liberty Street, Danvers, MA 01923.
Visiting hours will be held in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS, on Friday 4-8 p.m. Funeral services and burial will be private at the request of the family.
