Mr. Richard “Dick” Oxley, age 89, passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on Tuesday, March 26, following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine (Keohan) Oxley with whom he shared 60 years of marriage and the son of the late Joseph and Beatrice Oxley.
Born in Saugus and raised in Malden, he resided in Saugus most of his life. He was a devoted Husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, trips to Foxwoods and scratching tickets. He is survived by his daughters Darlene Perrone of Saugus and her partner Michael Solano of Plymouth, Deborah Doble and Lawrence Doble of Derry, NH, Sons Richard Oxley Jr. and his wife Mary; Dwayne Oxley and his fiancé Kelley Shea of Saugus. He was a loving “BUB” to John, his wife Liz, Deanna, her fiancé Dillon, Tyler, Erik, Sheri-Lyn her partner Randall, Drew, Paige, Adam, Julia and Matt. Great-grandfather to Brayden, Joshua, Jaxen, Dillon,and Mark. He was the brother of the late Joseph Oxley and his wife Elizabeth. Brother-in-law of Carol and Loretta Keohan, and the late Walter, Mona, Phil, Ronald, and Robert Keohan. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Richard served as a Sergeant in the Army during the Korean War. Before his retirement, Dick was a Funeral Director, Embalmer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS on Friday, 4-8 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary’s Church, 46 Myrtle St., Melrose at 10 a.m. Interment at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
