Nancy Gail Stetson, 68, of Peabody, formerly of Newport, Vermont, peacefully passed away from Cancer at Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers MA, on March 10, 2020.

Nancy is a former VP at Brown Brothers Harriman, Boston, her employer of 41 years. During her time there she was a Mentor, Influencer, Teacher and Friend. She will be greatly missed by her former coworkers.

She is survived by her daughter Kimberly Renee Beck and son-in-law David J. Beck. Nancy is also survived by her siblings Ned Stetson, Norine Recchia, Nina Crosby, Norman Stetson & the late Nora Neville and Newton Stetson. She was the daughter of the late Barbara and Clair Stetson. Nancy is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Once retired, Nancy enjoyed cruising the world with her daughter, vacationing road trips and yearly trips to Aruba with friends. Being a huge fan of sports, she frequently attended Boston Bruin hockey games. She also enjoyed ballroom dancing and card games.

She enjoyed spending her spare time with the Quagenti Family, in particular Joe Quagenti, Jr. his wife Christine and their children Arianna, Victoria, Daniella and Ava. She looked forward to cookouts with the family and baking with the children.

Nancy cherished her relationships deeply, as seen in her friendships of 50 years to Helene and Arthur Costello, Linda Poteet and Patti Doherty. "The Girls of Orient Heights" is how she referred to her lifelong friends and their adventures together. "Life" is how they remember their dear friend. Nancy was full of Life and loved it.

In the last three years Nancy decided to cruise her way through her bucket list with her daughter Kimberly right by her side. The close pair jointly shared many wondrous and beautiful trips around the world and were able to spend an exceptional time together before her passing. Kimberly feels very fortunate to have been able to have this time with her mother and misses her incredibly. At the time of her passing Nancy was set to sail on yet another cruise to a few of the islands she had yet to see. This is the cruise Kimberly and David will take to disperse her ashes as she requested. She will have finally made it around the world, except for Antarctica, as she would say.

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Mass General Cancer Center

Nancy will be cremated as she requested. A Celebration of Life Event will be held in the near future in lieu of a service. Nancy did not want sadness at her passing, but a celebration of the life she lived. She will be dearly missed by all.
