Mrs. Marion F. “Sis” ( Prideaux) Laskey, died on Friday at the Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody. She was the beloved wife of the late George H. Laskey, Jr.

Born in Lynn and a lifelong resident of Saugus, she was the daughter of the late George Baxter Prideaux and Mary Ann (Cavanaugh) Prideaux. The Saugus High School Class of 1948 graduate worked as a typist at the General Electric Riverworks for 12 years. She retired from the Collector’s/Treasurers Office at Saugus Town Hall after working for 10 years. She was a member of the Saugus Democratic Committee and a poll worker for years.

She is survived by two children, daughter Brenna G. (Laskey) Blackmer of Saugus and son Bryan G. Laskey of Oregon; granddaughter Melissa Mendick and two great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Blayne Laskey. Mrs. Laskey was the sister of the late John “Jack” Prideaux and Gladys Lawson.

Visiting hours will be held in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS, on Thursday 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. Relatives & friends are invited to attend. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
