Peabody - Ms. Judith Anne Griffin, 79, formerly of Saugus, MA died peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Brooksby Village from complications of dementia. She was the daughter of the late Kenward Morgan Griffin and Mildred Roberts Griffin of Saugus, MA. She was born on October 9, 1940 in Washington, DC, and lived for most of her life in Saugus. She graduated from Saugus High School in the class of 1958. She worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts for over 45 years.

She was a past member of the Saugus Rainbow Girls and held the title of Past Worthy Advisor. She was a former member of the Essex County Needlework Group, and entered several pieces at the Topsfield Fair, winning first place for her needlework. After retirement, she worked part time at Russo’s Candy Store, and on the election polls in Saugus. She enjoyed traveling, having visited a large portion of Europe, and many national parks in the Untied States. She later enjoyed camping across country with her brother and his family.

She leaves two brothers and their families: Kenward Richard Griffin and his wife, Joyce (Quail) Griffin of Chandler, AZ, formerly of Rowley, MA, and Robert Stephen Griffin and the late Virginia (O’Brien) Griffin of Peabody, MA, along with a nephew Kenward R Griffin Jr of Chandler, AZ, a niece Jocelyn (Griffin) Church and her husband Chadwick Church of San Jose, CA, a niece Julia (Griffin) Simpson and her husband Todd Simpson of DeBary, FL, and a nephew Robert S Griffin Jr and his wife Catherine (Darling) Griffin, a grand-niece Sabrina Griffin and grand-nephew William Ian Griffin of Peabody, MA.

She was buried at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, MA. There will be a memorial service later at a time to be announced.
