Jonathan F. Doyle, age 64, recently passed peacefully and quietly in his sleep in his home that he loved so much. His passing was sudden and unexpected and is a great loss to all he touched. Best known for his quick wit, keen sense of humor, generosity of spirit and warmth, Jonathan’s gift in life was making people feel good wherever he went. For those who knew him well, our memories are filled with funny and warm moments with him. He has left us all smiling. As a friend said, “If you were with Jonathan and you weren’t having fun, then you were doing something wrong.”
He was a beloved brother to his 5 siblings and their spouses. Catherine Roach and her husband David, Larry Doyle, Sally Allen and her husband Len, Mary Beth Doyle, Peggy Murphy and her husband James. He was also the most loved uncle to his 9 nieces and nephews, Meaghan Harnish, her husband John and their sons Jackson & Reece, Nathan Doyle, Joshua, Elizabeth & Michael Allen, Sarah, Julia, Sean, and Will Murphy.
Jonathan also leaves behind an extensive family of friends; especially his family of friends at the Marriott Hotel in Burlington where he worked in room service for more than thirty years. He enjoyed going to work every day with people he loved; the hotel was his second home.
His family invites those he touched to attend visitation at the Marriott Hotel, 1 Burlington Mall Rd., Burlington, MA on Monday, June 11 from 4-5 p.m. with a memorial ceremony at 5 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make a Wish Foundation of Greater Boston, 1 Bulfinch Pl., Boston, MA 02114 or to Operation Smile at www.operationsmile.org.
In loving memory of our beautiful brother Jonathan, we will smile.
