Saugus, formerly of Revere- Mrs. Janet C. (Meli) Woodman, age 91, passed away peacefully at the Arnold House Nursing Home in Stoneham on January 11th where she was a brief resident. She was the wife of the late Kenneth E. Woodman.

Born and raised in Revere, Mrs. Woodman was the daughter of the late Frank and Emma (DiGregorio) Meli. A resident of Saugus since 1960, Janet worked for over 13 years in the Saugus School Department at the Saugus Veteran’s School in the cafeteria and as a teacher’s aide. She was a member of the Saugus Town-Criers and enjoyed summering for many years at Lake Shore Park in Gilford, NH.

Janet leaves her three beloved sons, James K. Woodman and his wife Emily, Robert B. Woodman and his wife Sharon, and Paul T. Woodman. She was the cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS on Thursday 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 11:30 a.m. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Saugus. . In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet’s memory may be made to Triangle, Attn: Mike Mastascua, 420 Pearl St., Malden, MA 02148 please put Lawrence St. in memo line.
