SAUGUS - Mr. James T. Studebaker, age 69, passed away after a brave battle against cancer on Sunday, July 1st in Providence, Rhode Island with his wife and son by his side.
Born in Hartford City, Indiana, he was the son of the late Luther and Dorothy (Foley) Studebaker. He lived in 8 different states throughout his life, but spent many happy years here in Massachusetts.
Over the course of his career, he made contributions to the fields of medical science and technology in positions such as Scientist, Chemist, and Software Engineer. Some of his employers included Information Gateways; Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance; University of Massachusetts, Boston; and Instrumentation Laboratories.
He leaves behind a loving wife, Janice (Gautreau) Studebaker, currently of Providence, Rhode Island; his son Timothy Studebaker of Providence, Rhode Island; his sister Margo (Studebaker) Kelley and her husband Michael of Knoxville, and another sister, and his several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, his family would be honored by each donation made in his name to the American Cancer Society.

Wake: Thursday, July 5, 2018, 4-8pm at Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Avenue, Saugus, Massachusetts.
Funeral Mass: A funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday, July 6, 2018, at 9:30 am followed by a funeral mass at 10:30am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Summer Street, Saugus, Massachusetts. Burial to follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, 185 Lake Street, Peabody, Massachusetts.
