PEABODY-Mrs. Frances A. (Meade) Brescia, age 93, a lifelong resident of Everett, died on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at the Alliance at Rosewood Nursing Center in Peabody. She was the wife of the late John A. Brescia.

Born in Boston, Mrs. Brescia was the daughter of the late Alexander and Catherine (Driscoll) Meade. An office worker for many years at the A.W. Chesterton Company, she enjoyed bowling and participating in various clubs at her church, First Baptist Church of Everett. She loved to travel and spend time with her family.

Mrs. Brescia is survived by her children, Karen Tumasz & her husband Robert of Saugus, Franklin Chute, Jr. & his companion Susan Vaughan of CA, Douglas Chute and his wife Joanne of Everett; five grandchildren, Erik, Susan, Jennifer, Ryan & Christopher; 5 great grandchildren, Mae, Mason, Noah, Lucas and Dylan. She was predeceased by a late great granddaughter Lylah. Mrs. Brescia was the sister of the late Catherine Irene Crawford and Doris Brewer.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of MA, 309 Waverly Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.

An hour of visitation will be held in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS, on Friday, February 8th, 11 a.m to noon followed by a funeral service at noon. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
