Saugus - Mrs. Eileen P. Cerasuolo died on Tuesday, December 26th, after a brief illness surrounded by her family and friends. She was the loving wife of the late N. Edward “Ned” Cerasuolo with whom she shared 61 years of marriage.
Eileen was raised in Bedford, daughter of the late Elizabeth Albani Stewart. She was a graduate of Lexington High School. Mrs. Cerasuolo moved to Saugus in 1953 to operate the Sim Carnation Co. and Garden Center with her husband’s family. She eventually went to work at the Lynn District Court Clerk’s office where she worked until she retired in 1995 to care for her granddaughter Francesca. She traveled cross country twice with her husband and enjoyed many years spending part of the winters in Florida. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, extended family and her many close friends. She was a long time member of the Mass Retiree’s Association for which her son-in-law Frank serves as President.
Mrs. Cerasuolo leaves one son, Mark Cerasuolo and his wife Dawn of the state of Washington; one daughter, Karen Valeri and her husband Frank of Saugus; three grandchildren, Francesca Valeri, Pierce Chamberlain and Hillary Washburn and her husband Brian; two brothers, John Stewart and his wife Lucia and Alfred Stewart, all of Newton; her sister-in-law, Sheila Cerasuolo of Saugus. She was also the sister-in-law of the late John V. “Jack” and Vincent Cerasuolo. Mrs. Cerasuolo is also survived by many nieces, nephews, loving family and close friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS on Thursday 3-7 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. Margaret’s Church, 431 Lincoln Ave., Saugus at 10:30 a.m. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Saugus.
