Obituary

LYNN - Mrs. Charlotte (Newton) Meiklejohn, age 87, died on Tuesday, May 28th at the Life Care Center of the North Shore in Lynn. She was the wife of the late William A. Meiklejohn.

Born in Erie, CO, she was the daughter of the late Lee Kidder and Josie (Lee) Newton. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the former Symmes Hospital in Arlington.

Charlotte leaves her two loving daughters, Cynthia Meiklejohn Portillo of St. Thomas, USVI, Diane Meiklejohn Carney and her husband Daniel of Saugus; three beloved grandchildren, Daniel Carney III, Michael Carney and Gerrilee Thou; five great-grandchildren, Vibol Jr., Cortez, Navianna, Kai and Kaliani Thou. Charlotte was predeceased by two sons, Gerald Lee and William E. Meiklejohn.

Charlotte loved and cherished her family. She had a vibrant personality and a zest for life. She was a skilled & award-winning craftswoman who loved needlework, Japanese Bunka embroidery & quilting. Charlotte was an avid animal lover.

SERVICE INFORMATION
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass on Friday at 10 a.m., St. Agnes Church, 51 Medford St., Arlington (meet at church). Interment following the mass at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington.
