Saugus - Mr. Anthony “Tony” Eovine, age 84, passed away peacefully, at the Kaplan Family hospice house in Danvers, on Friday, March 22nd, following a lengthy illness. He was the beloved husband of Ruth (Stead) Swanson, with whom he shared 25 years of marriage. He was the former husband of Marie (Troiano) Eovine, Somerville MA.

Born and raised in Somerville, Tony was the son of the late Larby and Anna (Agulione) Eovine. A veteran of the United States Army, he was a graduate of Bentley College. Before his retirement, Tony served as CFO of Lehigh Armstrong a Manufacturing Brokerage. Tony enjoyed playing golf, cards and the Sunday trips to the Track, an avid Boston Sports Fan, especially the Patriots and Red sox.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children: Anthony Jr. and wife Dorothy Eovine, of TX , Carol (Eovine) Fistori of Medford, and Joseph Eovine of Somerville. Loving “PA” to his six grandchildren: Rachel and Timothy Fistori, James Kedian, Evan, Amber, and Alex Eovine. He was the brother of Richard and his wife Helen Eovine of Hudon NH, Robert and his wife Carol Eovine of Stoneham, Marilyn (Eovine) and her husband Louis Rissin of North Andover, and Diane Eovine of Peabody. Mr. Eovine is also survived by and several nieces and nephews. Tony also leaves 6 step-children, 16 step-grandchildren and 4 Great step-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his daughter: Susan (Eovine) and husband James Kedian, son in-law: Timothy Fistori, sister Susan (Eovine) and husband Michael Comperchio, brothers: Michael and Augustine “Gus” Eovine.

Tony’s family would like to send a special thank you to the Brudnick Rehabilitation Center of Peabody, Care Dimensions and Kaplan House of Danvers for their compassionate staff, care and support.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS, on Thursday 3-7 p.m. Funeral from Bisbee-Porcella on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Summer St., Saugus, at 10 a.m. Interment, following at Riverside Cemetery, Saugus.
