Obituary

SAUGUS - Mr. A. John Phipps, age 94, died on Friday August 31st at the Sunny Acres Nursing & Rehab Center in Chelmsford. He was the loving husband of the late of Mary A. (Deveau) Phipps with whom he shared 69 years of marriage.

Born in Lynn, he was the son of the late Ralph and Clara (Ant) Phipps. Mr. Phipps retired from General Electric in Lynn where he worked at the West Lynn & Riverworks locations. He lived most of his life in Saugus and was a member of the Saugus Senior Center. Mr. Phipps was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.

John leaves his beloved daughter, Debra Provost and her husband John of Billerica and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by one brother; Herbert Phipps and three sisters; Gertrude Dragonetti, Barbara Christie & Louise Jones.

In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Saugus Senior Center, 466 Central St., Saugus, MA 01906.

SERIVCE INFORMATION
Relatives & friends are invited to attend a funeral service in the Bisbee-Porcella Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., SAUGUS on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Visitation prior to service, 10-11 a.m. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Saugus.
